Shabad Audio:  Halle Yaran Halle Yaran

Shabad Interpretation in English:

Hello, my friend, hello my friend. Is there any good news? I am a sacrifice, a devoted sacrifice, a dedicated and devoted sacrifice, to You. Slavery to You is so sublime; Your Name is noble and exalted. Where did you come from? Where have You been? And where are You going? Tell me the truth, in the holy city of Dwaarikaa. How handsome is your turban! And how sweet is your speech. Why are there Moghals in the holy city of Dwaarikaa? You alone are the Lord of so many thousands of worlds. You are my Lord King, like the dark-skinned Krishna. You are the Lord of the sun, Lord Indra and Lord Brahma, the King of men. You are the Lord and Master of Naam Dayv, the King, the Liberator of all.

  1. Dr manbir singh ji, Would you please explain me in punjabi/english the meaning of "KUJA AMAD KUJA RAFTI"

Todays all kirtanis sing it as kuja(KULAR)/OR alhna, But the whole shabad is in Pashtoa(Pakhtoon) and KUJA =kehdi jaga IT is KOO JA/from where you are and where you are going to.

Please explain and if I'm wrong to my knowledge.

gurbani is very2 sofisticated and singers should be explained the real meanings of shabad,So that they can sing & impress properly.

These gursikh bachis did very2 well.

Thanks Waheguru ji and your efforts.

    You are right ji.
"KUJA AMAD KUJA RAFTI" as per my limited understanding it means Where did you come from? And where are You going?

The Gurmat Gian Group members when they are practicing the singing for recordings they keep translations of the shabads with them and try to understand the meaning of Gurbani and try to sing appropriately and try their best to do proper placement of words according to the meaning. To what extent these singers are successful, only Guru knows. We wish Guru's Blessings are on us so as to sing His Praise as best as possible.

    Thanks

    Manbir Singh
